Introducing Improved Analytics
Well folks, for our last, but certainly not least, update for the year; we've added some improved analytics for your viewing pleasure. Please rest assured that this feature is continually being improved and also that though the smay be our last major update for the year, we will be pushing out some minor updates in the coming weeks. We also have another major update planned for January. So in short, a lot to look forward to.
So lets get to it!
What does this improved analytics mean? Well to put it simply, it is additional details about the read/view ratio as well as frequency of visitors to all of your posts.
With this you can now see:
Overall Status - how your posts do within a 24 hour, 7 day, and 30 day period.
Heat Map - how active your posts are during the day (The brighter the red the more active)
How to Access
Simply click on your profile icon and you should see a link to 'Access Status'
Your heat map shows you how 'hot' your articles and your content as a whole is. By day, you can see when people are most actively viewing your posts. Usually you can expect to be most active around the time you publish/share your posts with the public. Your heat map will highlight exactly when a post was made
If you ever notice your heat map to be especially active, it's more than likely something or someone is sharing your posts that your not aware of.
*pro tip: mouse over your heat map columns to see detailed views.
Google Analytics and Google Search
Scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll also notice the option to integrate Google Analytics and Google Search into your g.o.a.t account.
Just input your Google Tracking ID and let Google take care of the rest.
We'll be adding an instructional post on just how to use Google's detailed analytics and search features later as we know it can be difficult but for now feel free to play around with this feature.
And thats all folks, at least for this year. At least for major updates. As always we're constantly working on adding more and more content that you'd love to g.o.a.t. Most of it we're hoping you'll love, some of it we're expecting you hate, but we're glad your coming along on this journey with us just the same.
So let's get to it. Post more, share more, write more, do more, and show us how your doing with this improved analytics. Check out our earlier post to help you with ideas or if your stuck, check out our other post to get rid of that block.
Or if your ready to write, just start writing now.
